Its okay. Just wait til the kids go to bed. This is just my opinion, but sometimes we don't have to tell our spouses everything we do. Mine was overseas for 15 months and I drank every now and then. He didn't know about it either. I'm not an alcoholic or anything. Just like some wine every now and then. Go for it. Let your hair down and relax.

Maybe your husband is upset at something more? Is it just the drinks or is there something else you two are not seeing eye to eye on?
You should not have told him anything if you needed to have a drink to unwind at the end of the night. It's none of his concern. But you should not get drunk nor should you let your children see you drinking.
Everyone could use a drink here and again, but if you are in charge of children I would be concerned if I were your husband especially if he felt that you couldn't stand on your own two feet and look after yourself.
Why don't you have friends? Being home is no excuse. You could take the kids to the library and meet all kinds of moms in a park somewhere. Sounds like you are totally dependent on your husband and that's not fair. You're not being fair to your children either by being that type of mom if you are just sitting around pining for hubby to return. You need to make a life for yourself and do right by your kids.

Sure I think it's fine. Whats it going to hurt really. People all over the world drink. As long as the drinking is not causing a problem the it's fine. That said I'm not sure why your husband flipped out. Have you ever drank before you had kids? Why is it different now that you have kids. What are his concerns? Does he drink at all?

It's ok if you can stop at two but I get the feeling you won't be able to stop so I say don't even start it. Your husband flipping out tells me you have had problems controlling your alcohol intake in the past. You don't want more problems on top of the ones you already have so my best advice to you is to either pour the stuff down the kitchen sink or give it away.

Wait til they go to bed then have at it. My kids are 20 18 and 15 and have never seen me with a drink in my hands. Just good rolemodeling is what that does. None of my kids drink either. My oldest has experimented with it but very seldom drinks. Your hubby sounds way too controlling. Dont let him have that control honey, you are the ONLY thinker in your own mind

HAVE THAT DRINK!!!!!!!! There is nothing wrong with having a drink at home, even with two kids. Now if you were partying it up with the kids in the house and your hubby gone...that would be a different story. But to have just a drink or two to unwind after a stressful day....who DOESN'T do that every now and then???

Is it okay? Yes, everything in moderation. Getting tipsy or drunk when you are the sole caregiver for your children is no appropriate or smart -- if there were an emergency, would you still be able to take care of them?
Perhaps that is your husband's concern, in which case you should explain to him your purposes and why it's important to you. If he still doesn't agree, then you need to figure out if this is something that's so important to you that it's really worth arguing about. Chances are, it's probably not.

Wait till they go to bed and break it open. Not enough to get "drunk", (god forbid something happens and you need emergency help or something) but you deserve to be able to relax. I'm a stay-at-home mom who has a glass of wine once in a while. It helps wind down.

Honey, sit down with your favorite magazine and pour yourself a glass of wine.
Why would it matter? Besides, your children always come first.
If something happened would you still beable to react? Probably.
Ok, stop with the Mommy guilt now!
What he doesn't know won't hurt him.
Relax!
