I broke my last phone, and via insurance, I received my new phone today from Cingular. I charged it up, and turned it on, but it says "unregistered sim" and it wont allow me to do anything. Any ideas how to make it work? I would call Cingular, but you guessed it, I don't have a phone.

There should have been a small microchip in the back of your old phone beneath the battery. You need to take that out of the broken phone and put it in the new one. Then it should work.

If the chip is damage you must go to the cingular store to get a new one registered. It shouldn't cost you anything for them to do that.

When the new phone has come, probobly there has to be an activcation form for it that will give you a certain pin that will activate your phone. If not go on CINGULAR.COM and type in you shipping code or type in your phone #. From there it should give you the best answer.

If that dosnt work. Go to your buddies house, and call 411 then ask them to connect you to cingular's coustumer sevice.

Have fun
