Actually, using the nickname "King", Jerry Lawler had it before Harley Race, and the WWE(then WWF) forced Harley to drop it. Lawler during the 70's and early 80's was as good as some of the top ones today. Not physique, or athletic ability, but as a showman, he was one of the tops. Alot of people don't realize, but he was one of the first wrestlers to pin Andre the giant, not to mention help bring up some of today's and yesterdays big stars. Ex. Randy Savage, Jeff Jarret, Hulk Hogan, JBL, Eddie Gilbert, Austin Idol, Koko B Ware, and many others that I can't think of right now.

i have to say kurt angle because he is the one who dominated wwe with amateur wrestling and he is the one who won gold medals for his country with a broken neck. but i say tna x-division are also kings of wrestling because kurt angle and tna damn sure dominate dumbass wwe.
