My standards are VERY HIGH. What gives you the right to generalise because you have received some criticism?
Open my soul to whom? You - who has accused me and everybody else of being shallow ?
I think not! I bear in mind that some people can't spell, I also bear in mind that English is not the first language of a lot of the people using this site, and I make allowances for both.
However, you have just negated any allowance I would have made for you by generalising and making accusations against the innocent, therefor lowering yourself to a level far below those you are accusing! And THAT is not a judgement - just an observation!

I wouldn't take it personal myself. The average person (be they male or female) should be able to cook a meal, wire a plug, sew on a button, iron a garment, change a tyre: i.e. the basic functions in life. Spelling correctly is no different and no big deal; it's about paying attention to detail - it shows people you care about what you are saying. There is no reason to spell incorrectly, We have dictionaries! I am using one myself now because I don't want people to think I don't care about what I'm saying. Because you don't spell so good doesn't mean you are " . . . less fortunate . . ." than anyone else. It just means you don't spell so good! Anyway, have a happy New Year and forget about the snooty bastards on Yahoo Answers.

That comment is fair enough on one level. However what if someone can not take valid criticism? For example spelling - if someone deliberately mis-spells when trying to make a point I think that shows ignorance. Yeah we all make spelling errors, but some people, honestly!
As for judging in general, that's human nature and you could constantly go round in circles saying who's judging who. For example I might appear to be judging you by your bad spelling, but as my earlier point illustrates, aren't you judging me by assuming my judgement is negative?
However I do think some people when answering are to quick to criticise niggling little points rather than trying to understand what the person asking is really trying to say!

Well, I agree and disagree with you.
Who gives anyone in society the right to judge? Well, it DEPENDS on what is being judged.
If it's inappropriate behaviour, then yes, people have a right to judge.
But if it concerns judging, criticizing or making fun of people who are less fortunate -- poorer, less smart, weaker, different, less experienced, etc - then it is bad to judge. Everyone is important and deserves a place in this world to express themselves. That is the beauty of life. We all have a right to live and live well -- and we must be our brothers and sisters keepers in this amazing journey of life.
Peace to you!!

I completely understand. We all can't be educated and have jobs and possessions like some others, nor were we meant to. Nobody had a hand in what race or color they were born into or to which parents they would have. Now, some people might say, "I wasn't born rich, either. I went to school and worked nights for my education." GOD bless them. He blesses the poor as well, just in case they didn't know. To be truthful, to some people money, education and worldly knowledge is their god. Forgive them, those people just don't know any better.

Nothing gives me the right to judge - but it's a good job you asked your question before making your statement - as after all, this is a question and answer site.

That is a very good point, one that i have made on here myself. The problem is that this site is dominated by students born with a silver spoon in their mouth who look down their noses at everyone even though they have no experience or knowledge of the real world.
