What? The NCAA basketball season lasts about 5 or 6 months, and the rest of the time he's following the signings and fall practices of all the teams. He's one of the most entertaining color commentators in the game (WAY better than Dick "how do my lips look locked on Coach K's balls" Vitale).

Clark does the local color commentary for Pacer games. That still leaves May to November open at which time I'm not sure what he does.
