Some (most?) can produce tears, but humans are the only animals that cry because of emotion.

How very inquisitive of you. Well, some mammals can produce tears in response to extreme pain or sorrow. They of course feel emotions so I disapprove of anyone who tries to test this answer. All animals should be treated with respect and cared for with as much love as possible. But in response to your question, yes, they do. O_o

Gorillas can cry too, I saw it on a video about koko, (or coco cant spell the name right) the gorilla. The reason she cried was because she had a pet kitten and it got ran over. When the people who were taking care of her told her (yes told her by sign language) she started to get depressed and when the people left her alone she started crying. It was sad.

yes the animals can cry because they have tear ducts. Tear ducts, found between the eye and the nose, are passages in the eye’s tear production and drainage system

Perhaps you would like to read this book:

"When Elephants Weep: The Emotional Lives of Animals"

According to the author, Jeffrey Moussaieff Masson, animals have emotions just like humans.

Get a dog and leave them at home for one day by theirself. When u get home, look at the corners of there eyes and you'll see dried tears on there fur.

No one will ever convince me that animals don't have emotions. And yes...I believe they DO cry.
