Not worry about it, Halloween is long over, and who gives presents for Halloween anyhow.

I would say nothing but I know it would bother you to say nothing. Maybe you could bring it up in a conversation you guys have. Like Valentines is coming up and you can talk about presents. Bring up in that topic. The only thing I have to warn you about is, if he tells you he doesn't like it. Don't throw a fit. Just perhaps ask for it back or just blow it off.

And yes, why did you give him a present for Halloween? And of all things an angel?? Sara.

Nothing.

It is NOT your statue anymore. It's his. Let HIM decide what to do with HIS statue.

I know this can be hard. I once scrimped and saved and got my wife a very expensive present. It was some lessons that I thought she would really really like, but she was annoyed with me at the time so she never took the lessons (out of spite) and then she got busy with a new job, and eventually the store closed and the money was wasted. This bugged the heck out of me for a very long time, till I realized that it was HER present for HER to do what she wanted with.

If he keeps it up, even though he doesn't like it, because he likes YOU, then consider that a compliment. If it vanishes one day or "accidentally" falls and gets broken, don't say anything about it. It's HIS now, not yours.

Just let it go.

We give presents for halloween now?.... jeepers!.
My advice for the angel statue....Put it somewhere nice but NEVER buy a religious item for a bloke. What did you expect him to do with the statue?....pray to it?. See where im coming from?

"Dress" it up. He may be out of sorts with it because it doesn't fit the Halloween theme, so make it gothic. Go to Lowes and buy a can of greenish stone spray - the stuff you can use to make anything look like sculpted stone - and give it a faux finish. Drybrush black over the wings - lightly - and paint blood tears coming from its eyes. Give it blood red or black fingernails to finish it off. Now he might like it better, because now it's "cool".

My daughter (who would know this one) says that the angel for Halloween was a horrible gift. What you should do instead, she says, is ask him what he wants. If he doesn't tell you, give him the "universal gift:" money.
