I live in CT and I don't want to spend to much on this thing!

Depends where in CT you are. . . . Maybe try something local and smaller, especially if they don't serve alcohol it will keep your bill down. Family style Italian food or something may cut costs as well. Or, somewhere that is willing to do a buffet, at a cheap per person cost to you. Best of luck!

Well...I'm not really sure where abouts you are in CT. Have your man's family pay for it! That's usually customary...I understand extenuating circumstances.

If your fiance's family is not footing the bill for this, you can have a small party at home. Pizza! Although, what is being served depends on a lot of things too.
