you know exactly who a person is,then find out they are completly different from who you thought they were?

Oh yes, I have had that happen a few times recently. You think they they are fine...you add them as a friend...and then they turn out to be a little psycho. *eeek* : )

Yep... this happens alot simply because people have many different sides to themselves. They act differently when you first meet them from when you finally get to know all about them, their secrets, their weaknesses, etc. The facade they put on when you're getting to know them can quickly change when they become comfortable enough around you to let the real them shine through... which can be scary if the real them is not someone you would normally even care to be around!

Oh yes. I just remind myself to be thankful for finding out sooner than later. If I find out much later, it's extremely disappointing.

All the time. At first, when you meet them, they're behaving their best. As you get to know them, the real personality comes out. Sometimes it's not what you expected.

yes, I knew this guy and I thought he was OK, then I found out that he was a child molester. Thank goodness I found out before he got a chance to molest my kids...

Yeah, it happens sometimes. It's not always that we were wrong about them though. Sometimes people change.
