If you have a small claim case, that is damages less than 5K (i think that's the small claim limit) but you're not sure on how to handle it & want to get a lawyer. However, since a lawyer can't represent u in small claim court, can u take it to a civil court & sue the defendant for the atrorney fee?

it is possible to sue for attorney fees, however it will cost more for you to sue for that. Good Luck on your decision!

May not be the case but a judge may award you if you list it as one of your damages. But if you are seeking a lawyer's advice anyways, then ask the lawyer not us laity.

You may be able to recover *reasonable* attorneys fees. This does not necessarily mean that you will be able to recover the full amount you will have to pay an attorney
