I've changed water pump, belts, hoses, thermostat, heater core three times. It's circulating good, everything seems to be working it's just not making any heat. I have the radiator covered, the truck doesn't even heat up to 210. Any other ideas?? Im out of them!!

if the upper hose gets real hot, then the thermostat is working. dont always belive the temp guage. scan the ecm data to see actual engine temp. when the engine gets good and warm, feel the heater hoses into/out of the heater core. is 1 or both hot? in a perfect world, 1 should be noticeably different temp than the other. if they are both cold, then you have no coolant flow thru the system. check for a pinched shut hose, or clogged hose where it hooks to the intake area. i assume you have a 4.3. this really is a no-brainer system.

You're doing something wrong. You need a 195 thermostat, which will probably give you about 210 on the gauge. If you're putting the thermostat in right and you don't have a bunch of air in the system it will heat up.

Ive had a lot of problems with after market thermostats, even though it new dosent mesn its good, i reccomend going and buying a dealer (chevy) theromstat and then try it again, also your radiator could be stopped up and not cirulating properly, dont use the dexicool antifreeze long term i know it to stop up radiators i went through the dsame probs you are, try having the radiator recored or replace it, i bet it will work

Change the thermostat again. Sometimes you get a bad one, or you get it in upside down.
