Get a bottle of Orly No Bite and get a hobby to where your hands are always busy. Crocheting, beading, etc.

My daughter had same habit. Found nail polish in Baby Section called THUMM. It is safe and has a very bitter taste long after this clear polish dries. I think Orly also makes something like this.

It helped her because she really wanted to stop, but she wouldn't even realize she was doing it until she had bitten them off. With this stuff, the moment she put her finger in her mouth she KNEW. Good Luck

At the drug store she can by a product just for that. It is very bitter, so when she goes to bite her nails shes not going to like it and that will remind her not to bite them. I'm sorry I can't remember the name, but someone who works there can assist her.

Tell her to buy some of that liquid stuff used for removing corns and put that on the tips of her fingers. Trust me if it stopped me from sucking my thumb itll stop her from biting her nails. That crap tastes awful.

Remind her of all the filth, germs and the rest of the evil that lives under her nails, and see how well they taste to her now. Also remind her how tacky it looks as well

Bitter apple spray. It's non toxic and tastes just awful. You can find it at most pet stores and vet offices.
