Well...

If I may, the quote from Albert is:

" "Quantum mechanics is certainly imposing. But an inner voice tells me that it is not yet the real thing. The theory says a lot, but does not really bring us any closer to the secret of the Old One. I, at any rate, am convinced that He does not throw dice. "

---------------Letter to Max Born (12 December 1926); quoted in Einstein: The Life and Times ISBN 0-380-44123-3.
--------------------This quote is commonly paraphrased "God does not play dice" or "God does not play dice with the universe", and other slight variants. [A]

Sorry, but the paraphrase, while catchy, doesn't have the same ring as the acutual quote, and brings the answer to my question into context:

Well, until we understand "What" the Universe is, we won't be able to define a reason for it, or to put it a slightly different way:

"To know God, is to be God" [1a and 1b] ... or the Universe, as it is in this case...

Or at least that is a spiritual view of your question. The closest science has to answering your question is the "theory of everything" [2] or if you prefer a less "Physics" oriented take, there is an alternate "TOE" [3] for philosophy as well...

Now, all I can do for you is to say, go visit these links and explore what may be the third oldest question known to mankind, right behind "How do I survive?" and "How do I get laid?". Good luck, and if you find an answer, let me know. You'll know where to find me...

Hope this helps...

Every action has a reaction... But the reasons things happen is for you to decide... I'm sure there are many things in life that happen for no reason at all, but people create a reason.. Catastrophes that occur may happen for no reason at all, but to those involved, they might think, this happened to give me strength... And then there are things that happen for no reason, and no one is involved to make any reason for it at all (a rock falls)... I think we just create reasons for the events that happen in our lives to give us strength to go on... If we believed things didn't happen or a reason, then when the catastrophe hits we might just give up, instead of saying "This happened for a reason, for me to find the strength within me to move on" we might instead say "Bad things are always happening to me, and I did nothing wrong to deserve this.. There was no reason for this to happen to me!"

And then of course are the things we do for a reason. You asked this question for a reason. To find the truth.

Yes. Everything that happens to you is the result of what you think, feel and believe. YOU are the center of your own personal universe and the attractor of every situation, circumstance, event, and person in your life.
