You could have a couple of different problems here. You have to determine if the ignition system is cutting out or the fuel system is. Either is a bit difficult to determine, but see if this helps. You say you replaced all the plug wires, does that include the coil wire? I assume it does. With one of the spark plug wires removed and hooked through a spark output tester, start the motor or crank the motor over so as you can see the spark output available. It should be strong and consistent with a blue flame! If that is all okay, this probably indicates the coil and secondary wiring is okay. There is a possibility that the coil is intermittent though. You now need to remove the dist. cap and rotor to inpect the distributor. Things like a worn out dist. shaft can cause stuff like this so see if you can wiggle the dist. shaft side to side. If there is a lot of movement, this is your problem. Inpsect the pole piece to ignition module connectors and wires for any signs of corrosion or poor connections. A green color visible to the eye would be a problem. Replacing a module is easy, but replacing the pole piece requires dist. removal and overhaul. If nothing is found and I assume you have replace your fuel filter, you will have to install a fuel pressure guage into the supply side of the fuel system. This is not easy and the best place to do it is in series with the filter. These motors need around 10-13 psi to run properly. If you have a low reading, you will need a new pump and in-tank filter sock. Good luck.

Sounds like your fuel pump or fuel filter. Try replacing the filter first, then have your pump checked. HOPE THIS HELPS!!
