He picked the name Joe in an alternate future, to which Tom Paris says "Joe?, It took you 33 years to come up with Joe?!" Then Janeway went back in time to get Voyager home 26 years earlier, and that future never existed

I was watching it also last night!
I'm a nurse, just a dig ... cause I can ... but he suffered the "little man" docktor syndrome and still didn't pick a name.
Acute observation.
He was a humanitarian in spite of his perfectly programmed nature to chose the best bet.
I would lie for him.
I don't care what Yahoo thinks,

In the Series FInale, Endgame, The Doctor chose the name Joe.
This, however, was an alternate timeline that ceased to exist; whether or not he chooses it again was unestablished....
