I need to get rid of some unneeded toolbars in IE7. For example, the bottom one (you know what I'm talking about). Plus the Google search. At the very least I need to get the toolbars down to two rather than three. I can't move the toolbars to do so by unlocking. I am about ready to go back to IE 6. Answers only. No agreements. Thanks.

Right-Click on page. Make sure Menu Bar is checked. Left click it if it is not.

Click tools and go down to internet options, click it too.

In the next window, click advanced in the top right and uncheck "enable third party browser extentions".

Click OK. Close IE.

Open it again.

VIOLA. =D

Depending on the toolbar. The best way to get rid of them is to uninstall them. Unchecking them will not completely get rid of them. Go into Add/Remove Programs in the Control Panel and look for the toolbar name. Yahoo, AOL, Google, MSN etc..

Go back to IE6 (if it will let you) or install Mozilla Firefox because you can't get rid of all the annoying little icons. Only some of them. The Favourites Centre (represented by the star) are there to stay, unfortunately.
