A tiny splash of the dark blue water hits my shins as i'm taking in the sun, watching the monster waves crash down on terrified children making an attempt to swim with the wave...my feet are hiding in the wet slushy sand and appearing again each time the wave draws back, pulling part of me into the ocean, beckoning me...I'm silently complaining to myself about the soccer shorts tan on my thighs when I hear this overwhelming sound, laughter like a symphony, it weakens my knees and calms my mind like the elegant sound of a harp, and then I look up into her eyes, her eyes like sapphires, gleaming into mine...eyes as deep as the ocean behind her, sparkling that same inviting blue, her eyelashes curving outward just like the waves, drawing me to them like a bug to the light...â¥
