Myspace, in itself, is not bad for kids. Like most tools, it's only bad when it's abused by those who use it. Unfortunately, there are plenty of pervs out there who like to prey on young kids. Also, just as unfortunately, most parents and kids don't know enough to keep their private information private, and put all sorts of identification information out on their myspace pages. This can allow a sexual deviant to gather enough information to locate and track down children they may be interested in abusing, or at least give them enough ammunition to seduce them into statutory rape situations. If you don't believe it's a danger, just watch 20/20's "To Catch a Predator" series. Despite the fact that they've been running this for quite a while now, there are still tons of nasty guys who prey on kids though places such as Myspace, and get caught each week. Anyway, that's my $0.02.

Well, lets see myspace doesn't filter any of the people it allows on so, someone could make a myspace page who is a repeated sex offender and the such, and also a lot of hackers, and such sit on myspace just waiting for you to surf around their pages so that they can try and upload a virus onto your computer. I think personally speaking if they know the exact people they are talking to like their friends from around their home, and their profile is kept on private and such it isn't that bad, but i'd keep them off it if it where at all possible just to many possibles out there.
