yes, its a great software to download free movies and music. Use the Azerus software with it, its the best driver. However, it does need high bandwith, so unless you have a high broadband speed, it will take you forever to download stuff. Also, you will need a decent or unlimited download allowance as movies take up a lot gigabytes. Also, make sure you have very good firewall and antivirus software.
You can use the downloads to play on any mp3, computer or even ipods. I use it all the time for my nano.

Bit-Torrent (IE Torrent) is actually quite faster on the average than clients like LimeWire as it downloads parts of files (like movies and music) from many clients at once (when it can find many people sharing that file). This is "multiple bitstream support".

If BitTorrent can't find many people sharing the file (this usually happens when you are trying to download something unpopular), though, it can be slower (which explains the other comments).

I'd say try downloading the same movie/music file on both Ares (which is most often faster than Limewire and also has multi-bitstream support) and Bit-Torrent...and cancel whichever one has the slower rate of those two.

Torrent is good if you want to download movies or entire albums, but it's kinda slow for my taste, I prefer LimeWire, but I usually only download single songs.

Brilliant for music, not managed movies yet. Oh and you don't have to just play it on your pc at all. All the stuff my hubby has downloaded from there (and it's a lot) we have on the iPod.

I never tried it, but I do know it is a proprietary format that can ONLY be played on computer. You need to find places to download stuff that plays on iPod, PSP, etc.

And try to avoid the spyware by dedicating a separate PC for this purpose.
