Where did the saying "peeing like a race horse" come from? What's the difference between a race horse and just a horse peeing?

I have heard it said "I have to pee like a racehorse", I think that means have to go pee, really bad, are holding the pee at the time it is being said. I guess race horses cannot stop and go pee, so have to hold it a long time.

They give race horses a diuretic to make them pee so the will weigh lighter and not have have the extra weight. Therfore, they REALLY have to pee.

LOLOL I have never heard the saying, but at a quick guess, I'd think it meant doing it faster and more copiously than anybody else.
