Yes. This is often caused by hormonal imbalances, which can be treated. You should speak with a doctor - especially an endocrinologist.

Hair, other than hair on the scalp, is caused by high levels of testosterone -- and that applies to both males and females.
Part of the effect of testosterone is caused by exposure to testosterone long before birth, in the earliest stages of fetal life. Nothing can be done to alter the fact that some women have the same sort of sensitivity to testosterone as most men.
Exposure to testosterone in later life causes hair growth in those sensitized in early pregnancy. Massive doses of estrogen can counteract the effects of testosterone in later life, but there are many side-effects.
It's probably best to realize that once a preson has a predisposition to hairiness, that's what's natural for them and should be accepted.

sometimes getting on a hormone pill will help. You'll have to see your dr and talk to him about it. Depending on your age (if you are young) and getting hair on face, breasts, stomach he might put you on a birthcontrol pill to boost female hormones. If you are older he will put you on a similar hormone pill -for menopausal women. Hair growth in places it shouldnt be is just a hormone imbalance of female and male hormones. You might just be producing more male hormones -making hair grow in places you might not want.
