I have always been a fan of Ansel Adams but I like some human presence in some environmental pictures. Just a simple bench in a otherwise untampered environment or a busy bridge overlooking a still river. I know some people think these pictures are a dime a dozen but I like the feeling of serenity. I like the thought that even in all the hustle and bustle there is still a stillness. Take what you want, leave the rest. Good Luck to you.

Frank Lloyd Wright (or any other architect, he was just the first to come into my mind). Write a report about this architect using photography or a mixture fo photography and an actual written report. The imagry does not have to be purely the architect's work. Instead, think about his inspirations and try to capture them in photographs. By doing this, try and understand where his ideas came from, what influenced his designs, and be able to convey this to others through your report.

When I was in the Bahamas several years ago I saw a cool art form that I've always wanted to try. They had taken large sheets of corrugated cardboard and cut into them (but not through them), to create images of tigers, plants, etc. They had cut some parts so it showed the corrugation, some parts to show the paper beneath the corrugation, and some parts were just cut outlines. It was cool.
Another idea is to set out a bunch of different mediums: pastels, paints, markers, etc., and modify photographs you have taken (and printed out on regular paper) to illustrate various emotions.

think of something/ someone that you really like. add some nature into the mix. sunsets. beaches. icicles. green. sky. clouds. fire. smoke. water. and make sure the lighting is just right. bad lighting = bad picture.
if nature isnt your thing, take pictures of people. people working. people talking.
but do what captures your interest. dont do something you arent excited about.
