They usually travel by plane because it would take a lot of time to get throught the us by bus.

They always travel by team charters in other words they
contact the airline before the season and make most of their
arrangements with one airline, They get a lot of perks
that way.. best planes etc. usually team , coaches , staff,
Trainers , some Doctors.sometimes reporters etc.
On short trips 100 -200 miles by bus I know Steelers

they travel by plane because think of it this way if the seattle seahawks were playing the miami dolphins how long would it take them to get there and if you watch the pregames and stuff they show the teams in a plane on the way the the other teams city
