one of my friends is saying she wants to kill herself. she's attempted many times, and she's said she would many times, but all of our friends say she's not gonna do it and she just thinks she wants to die. i don't know what to do. i mean, i'm scared!!!

Tell someone. If you're in school, tell a counselor. You friend needs help.

It is a really hard question, sometimes I really crave to find a logical and reasonable answer for it for myself, because I’m not sure that I won’t commit suicide myself. But if you are so eager to help her, first you gotta find out, why she wants to kill herself. Is it psychological problems, is it lack of love, is it the emptiness or loneliness; you gotta find out what it is, and find an answer for it. Maybe she needs professional help, and need to see a psychologist, maybe se just needs more attention. Although there is not a final solution, but I’m sure it’ll be helpful if you show her how much you love her and how much you care, and give her a reason to live and give her a mean to enjoy her life a bit more.

This is really REALLY important: you need to get her to call an emergency hotline immediately! If she won't then it is your responsibility to call one for her. Or get her in a car (don't let her drive!) and take her to the ER--don't leave her alone!
By telling people she wants to kill herself (whether she attempts it or not) she is begging for help for something, and this is your instinct telling you something needs to be done.
You have a choice: you can be one of the "friends" who later says "I should have done something" or you can be the real friend who does something about it and gets her help.
If she talks about this, and its something she tried, she will try again until she finds a reason not to.

First you need to get your friend professional help. Even if it is against her will. There is nothing you will be able to do for her. This is a psychiatric matter. people who commit suicide are really looking for help, not really wanting to die. Call a crisis hot line or talk with someone in the field at a local hospital. My husband works in the psychiatric field and I do hope you get her help- NOW!!!!

Your friend needs to see a doctor NOW... yesturday even!
Ur other friends are playing russian roulette with your friends life and she should be lucky too have you!!
You can't handle this yourself, u need too get her some help.
Stay calm and strong for her she is gonna need a friend and i think ur it!

You need to tell an adult! Tell her parents, tell your parents, anyone that can help you. Even if you fear she will get mad at you, you need to help her at any cost even if you're not positive she will go through with it. God forbid she does and you do nothing...what a horrible thing to live with for the rest of your life. She may need an what's called an EPC to a hospital that can watch her and assess her seriousness to take her life.

take her out with your buddies don't say where
just go to a hospital that deals with accidents
let her see the pain of others
let her see the bag of dead bodies
then say good night
tomorrow is another real day
then find her a real man fast and have her fall in love with a real man, who will see how great she is.
all she wants is a vision and purpose in a releationship
if that dosent work take her to a fortune teller that will tell her that she will have 3 kids and be happy
tell her you love her and trow her a suprise party

call 911 and tell them that she is treatening to commit suicide she will be held for at least 72 hours on a psych watch and if she proves to be a danger to herself it could be longer

Go there if they are local. Get her treatment in an inpatient mental health facility. (I've worked in the field for 7 years)
If all else and they are seriously going to try, call the police. They will take them to get help.

i thought like that too but then myfriend sat me down and gave me something sharp and said if your really gonna do and not care about the ppl your gonna hurt then do it infront of me!! and i realized i have depression problemsand im getting help and she really helped me and i love her more than anything!! shes like my sister!!
