Eye doctors always say to change your contact lense containers with each new pair of contacts. But I clean my container every morning, and at night it's filled with my contacts and the disinfecting solution. So why change with every new pair of contacts if the container is clean? Especially when individual containers alone at $5 at the store.

It is now recommended (after the fusarium fungal infections) that you change your contact lens case every month. It used to be every three months. Every day you should rinse the case with hot water and allow it to air dry with the lid off.
The disinfecting solution you use is to disinfect your contact lenses. If it is having to disinfect your contact lens case, your contact lenses may not get as clean.
Wearing contact lenses makes your cornea more susceptible to infection so proper care and cleaning is essential.

As long as you keep it clean, it should be okay. You may want to sterilize it every week (or month, or 6 months) in clean boiling water.

Inspect it regularly for cracks, chips, etc, though.
