To be truthfull I don'tr even think I'd last 30 minutes. Isn't that terrible? Our society is totally dependant of these things.

well, we don't have TV although we do watch some videos with our little granddaughter and the odd movie here and there... I think it's healthy to "fast" from that stuff, and from the computer (my big weakness) and from phones, whenever you want to really get centered and feel peace in your life. I am going to do a fast from January 8th for as long as I can manage and believe that I would like to include the computer in that as well... will see, though, since I actually do biz on the computer and that would be difficult for my mates to communicate. We'll see.... I don't use a cellphone and I can go for days without talking on the phone, except that I know that my old and frail parents like to hear from me occasionally, and there is the odd urgent call that comes in here. Otherwise, I'm your extreme introvert and quite happy to live rural on an island away from the big cities.

I had no tv for about 6 years when my kids were small. and I don't have a cell any more. I can go for weeks at a time

I spent 3 weeks in India this past summer and no problems,,,,,it was actually a relief......
