i go to drug counceling & my therapist kept telling me that if i continue smoking, i will go crazy. i thought she was trying to use scare tactics to get me to stop smoking, but lately i've started hearing things & become convinced of strange situations like 1)i'm dead & in hell, repeating my life over & over & 2) the chinese delivery guy sneaking into my house and going to kill me & that he was outside my bedroom door (took me a like an hour to actually look & realize it wasn't true)

Sure Marijuana makes you crazy (and I should know, I'm smoking some right now) but then again everything can make you crazy. Paranoia is a common side effect of Marijuana use. But you can't just blame the drug there are many many contributing factors. However if you are experiencing extreme paranoic episodes, it would be a good idea to lay of the bud for a while.

I had the exact same experience with it, but those thoughts of hell and repeating life over and over began with the hallucinogens first. Then started to resurface later after I quit the hallucinogens but still smoked. you need to stop smoking the pot. I did and now I am fine. It is a warning that you should take seriously. The Lord has since saved me and blessed my life. He then called me to preach a couple years later and I wouldn't go back for anything. In my opinion, drugs are another one of the devils tools to draw you away from living a victorious life in Christ. I will pray for you, God Bless.

I don't know what you're smoking but that doesn't sound like pot.

Other chemicals are added to pot sometimes that have psychogenic effects, so you may have gotten some doctored pot.

There are also several different elements in pot resin that are psychogenic, the ratio of these elements can be very different depending on the strain of pot, where and how it was grown and the maturity of the resins.

If you have pot making you feel like that, I would definately stop. If you are in drug counseling you should not be smoking pot anyway.

I don't know about crazy but marijuana affects memory, judgment and perception. Learning and attention skills are impaired among people who use marijuana heavily. Longitudinal research on marijuana use among young people below college age indicates those who use marijuana have lower achievement than the non-users, more acceptance of deviant behavior, more delinquent behavior and aggression, greater rebelliousness, poorer relationships with parents, and more associations with delinquent and drug-using friends.

People who smoke marijuana often have the same respiratory problems as cigarette smokers. These individuals may have daily cough and phlegm, symptoms of chronic bronchitis, and more frequent chest colds. They are also at greater risk of getting lung infections like pneumonia. Marijuana contains some of the same, and sometimes even more, of the cancer-causing chemicals found in cigarette smoke.

the drug itself will not result in a health person going crazy .
i think i know you should take the bit about being dead and gong to hell as a huge warning signal. no joke here. if that is what you have been seeing or thinking you see you better alter your life style big time and start going to church and reading the bible .
hell is not a joke or a made up place sorry folks its a place where you will go and remain as if alive feeling everything that you feel now but demand will come into the dark cell your in and tear the flesh from your body you wont die or faint you will feel it
you will be put in a lake a real lake of molten lava and you wont die or faint you will just remain and fee. the pain . this will go on forever. period

marijuana does cause paranoia in a decent percentage of people, but it won't make you crazy. at least a case like that has never been documented.
but since you've used other drugs you may have other issues, including 'going crazy'.

If marijuana alone did that to you, you'd be extremely wise to stop doing it. It's often "cut" with other drugs, so be very careful if you choose to continue using it. Please note: auditory and visual halucinations are usually associated with much harder drugs...
"Recreational" drugs, of any kind, are a bad idea either way, imo.

Pot wouldn't do that. Could someone be putting something else on it? like a hallucinogen?

drugs do affect your brain so i think it is possible. you hear of the things that people on drugs do, which would terrify a non-user. people kill, steal hurt themselves and their loved ones. i heard of someone who sold her daughter to a man to prostitute her( she was 9) just to get cash for drugs. can you honestly tell me that a sane person can do that ? take care of your self, i wish you the best.
