The total cost equal the number of bottles times $1.95

The equation is set up like this:

C = 1.95x
C = Cost
x = number of bottles.

That way you can plug any value in for either c or x and get the answer for the other variable. So if you know how many bottles you want to purchase you plug that number in for x , work the problem and it will give you the cost. Or vice versa

The total is... (the number of bottles) times ($1.95).

How many bottles are there? Multiply by $1.95.

Do what it says - you haven't told US the number of bottles - go back, find it and multiply by $1.95!!!

TC= #bottles * 1.95
