Even at the lowest volume setting, I can hear my music and such through my headphones, even when they're sitting on my desk. Is there a way to lower the overall system volume on mac OS X?

So are you asserting whilst ever you attempt to alter the quantity with your keyboard, the beep sound comes out of the keyboard? If the beep comes from the computing device audio device, then i can't make it easier to to because of the fact there is purely too many opportunities yet whilst the beep comes from the keyboard, then you fairly can take aside the keyboard and locate the thingy it is making the noise and purely rip it out.
