I say do something from High School Musical... the vocals should be good for a female since most of the songs have females sing part of them... and I think it would be ok if you sang one that should have two people singing... You can just sing both parts.... I think the song This Could be the Start of Something New would be pretty good. Good Luck with whatever you pick!

Do you know the musical, Rent? If you do, there is a song that I believe is called 525,600 minutes. It is a good song to do for a talent show in my opinion, as well as one that is good for a female vocal range, depending on what your singing range is (ex: soprano, alto, etc.) You could also just adapt it to be sung in your key. I hope this helps. Thanks, and good luck.

If you really wanna blow the audience away with you vocals, I would suggest "Listen" - Beyonce. Hit those notes like she did and you are sure to win. It also has a good message.
If you want to dance, sing, and have fun. You can do "Ain't No Other Man" - Christina Aquilera.

I don't really know what type of song your trying to find, but if I were you, and was trying to find a song to sing, I would pick a song from a Broadway show you saw, or have heard and liked.

Actually, it depends on your style. Pop, slow, rock or just classic vocal? If you can sing pop, I would tell you that you can find a guitar player and sing "hit me baby one more time". That would be just great. Both funny and artistic. Isn't it?

Avril's song for the dragon rider movie... Eragon

unless you can top Israel Kamakawiwo'ole... then don't sing "somewhere over the rainbow" it would be unwise...
