Brother's in the Forest. It is the 2nd book of a trilogy. It is awesome! The fist book is Painted Mountain, then Brother's........, The 3rd one will be released this spring. Steven Spielberg has been in contact with the author, about making a movie about the books. I know this because I am an author. I write Children's Books. The author of Painted Mountain, is also my publisher. These books are based on true stories, and are History based. Native American and white man. Painted Mountain is a real place were the Native Americans met yearly, still there today. A lot of slaughtering in this book. But that's what happendI! It's hard to put down!!

I just started reading a love inspired book called Promise Forever by Marta Perry last night. I think that is pretty good, it is the first inspirational romance book that I have/am reading. I am nearly half way through it. I really enjoy romance books of practically all types which I read alot of. I'm not a chain-smoker, I'm a chain reader!!! I had just finished Where Truth Lies by Christine Heggan, a mystery romance which was very good. And when I finish Promise Forever, I will start on Sun Kissed by Catherine Anderson. I have been waiting~since June or July for her to finish it. That is when I finished the last book that she had written in the Kendrick/Coulter series~which Sun Kissed is the last book of that series. If anyone else out there likes to read romance books, I highly recommend this series.
Ok I'm through now! Sorry about going on & on about my books, but like I said I love to read!!

I just got two books from the public library today, "The Hate Factory" by G. Hirliman its about the prison riots at the New Mexico State Penitentiary that happened in 1980 and the other book is "Short Straw" by Stuart Woods. I just read "Santa Fe Rules" by Stuart Woods and I loved it, murder mystery and I also just read "Inside the Mind of Scott Peterson", by Dr. Keith Ablow and that was a REALLY good book. Another book I read not too long ago was "Gerald's Game" by Stephen King, I loved that one, too.

Sarah Waters the Night Watch, I loved 'Fingersmith' and just wanted to read more of her work she writes so beautifully.
This is a book written backwards and it works, It is set in London after and during the last world war and is really helpful to get a feeling of what it was like then for a range of different characters - manages to show us easily without upsetting the story or being didactic. It seems an effortless read its so well crafted.
Loving it!

Setting the Desert on Fire by James Barr.
It is about T.E. Lawrence and Britain's Secret War in Arabia in 1916 to 1918.
This book gives us a realisation that things haven't moved very far forward in the last sixty years and that the situation may not be resolved within another sixty.
The myth of T.E. Lawrence single-handedly leading his loyal band of fighters to victory obscures the intricate story behind the British-backed Arab Revolt of 1916. In this groundbreaking book, drawing on research in Britain, France and the Middle East, James Barr retells the story as the international drama it really is.
A wide range of characters, including Ronald Storrs (a laid-back bureaucrat with a passion for collecting oriental antiquities), Sherif Husein (the enigmatic Arab leader), his malleable younger son Feisal (Lawrence’s comrade in arms), and Sir Mark Sykes and Francois Picot (the joint architects of the Anglo-French agreement that shaped the destiny of the Middle East to this day) and Lawrence himself, all take the stage. Their ambitions, rivalries and underhand actions are the subject of this riveting new book that argues that for the British the primary purpose of the revolt was to hinder the Ottomans’ call for the pan-Islamic jihad that they feared would threaten their Empire. The bitter legacy of the conflict that followed lives on with us today.
Don't start reading this book if you read a bit at a time. You will not put it down. Brilliant.

Actually, I am reading three books pretty much at once. I think they are all pretty interesting. One I read every year as it is a favorite. That is: A Christmas Carol. by Charles Dickens. I'm also reading vol. ii of The History of the English Speaking People. by Sir Winston Churchill(a four vol. set), and Singing My Him Song. by Malachy McCourt(Frank's brother). I've also finished The Ghost of the Cavalier which I very much enjoyed. All good reading.and also the shortest of the group to read.
