I was born in Michigan, where it was "pop" and now I live on the East Coast, where it's "soda."

I know a little bit of ASL (sign language used by many deaf Americans) and in Michigan the sign looks like "pop" and on the East Coast, the sign for soda is quite different (it looks more like the signs for other drinks like coffee and tea.)

I'm from Indiana it is called pop. I moved to Florida and here it
is soda. So yes it does depend on the location.

Pop. Yeah, you can tell I'm from the Chicago area. I get teased. about that. They say we're the only ones who say pop. Almost every where else it's called soda.

Pop. I think the location probably does. It's like that with a lot of words too. :-)
