Pirates of the Caribbean questions?

Question

I've asked a ton of pirates questions today, but I just saw the movies again and have gotten really into them.

1. Do you think Will is going to die? I personally think he might, because in the 2nd movie, at the part where the dress is found on the ship, the people who found it say the spirit feels like a virgin woman, widowed before her marriage. The virgin, woman, and before marriage part all work out, so that scares me a little.

2. Which pair is more likely: Will and Elizabeth, or Jack and Elizabeth?

3. Why is Barbossa still alive? I know the monkey took a medallion from the chest and is cursed again, but what about Barbossa?

4. What do you think is meant by the owner of Davy Jones's heart having the ability to "control the sea"? Does this mean control the hurricanes and waves and such?

5. What do you think is going to happen to Bootstrap?

1) Disney wouldn't kill Will, atleast not in the third movie. There are some rumors spreading around that there will be a fourth pirates of the caribbean movie, and Disney is going to kill Will in the fourth movie, but I don't know if that will really happen.

2) I wish it would be Jack and Elizabeth, but it won't happen. Again, Disney wouldn't do that. The point of Jack, is he's the one getting into trouble, Elizabeth is the usual woman, who falls in love, and Will is the one who marries the usual woman. If Jack married Elizabeth, Will's part could have been cut all together. It's just how most movies work.

3) It took me a while to figure this out, but I wondered the same thing. If you watch the second movie, you actually see Barbossa feet in the first scene in Tia Dalmias hut. Tia Dalmia reincarnated Barbossa. She has that power.

4) Well, I don't know if this is true, this is only my opinion, Davy Jones controls the sea, so if someone has the heart, they can control Davy Jones. However, what I don't get is, why would Will want to destroy it. I guess to rescue his father. Jack and Cutler Beckett both don't want to destroy it, they want it for various reasons. Jack wants to call off "the terrible beastie," and Cutler Beckett wants to rid the seas of all pirates.

5) I don't think that anything bad is going to happen to Bootstrap. He will probably end up being fine. However, it will be confusing with three fathers in the movie, so I think Elizabeth's father (Govoner Swan) is going to be killed.

2. Will and Elizabeth is the more likely choice, I think she will tell Will why she kissed him, she obviously feels guilty for what she did to Jack
3. Barbossa is alive because he came back from the dead. Some one went to the ends of the Earth and got him, or he figured a way out...the Voodoo lady said that in order to get Jack back they'd have to go to the ends of the Earth, and they would need someone who had been there.
4. Davy Jones controls the Kracken, he who controls the heart of Davy Jones also can control the Kracken and therefore can control the seas, any ship that he doesn't like or want in the waters can be destroyed by the Kracken, a usefull little pet for the East India Trading company don't you think?
5. Bootstrap's soul will probably be saved, I think he'll die, Will is gonna find a way

1. Will won't die...he's too popular and they might keep it open for another sequel in the future.

2.Will and Elizabeth are more likey...they almost got married. She's just a good actress, trying to save herself and the crew, but she's also a friend of Jack's and sent him to his death so she feels responsible.

3. Barbossa put his coin back, but he might have snuck one without anyone noticing. I really don't know and am curious myself.

4. Davy Jones heart- The holder of his heart literally controls the sea...whatever can happen to water can be used by the holder of his heart. Yes, that includes tsunami's and hurricanes, and I think the Kraken.

5. Bootstrap will either finally be laid to rest peacefully or he will regain his life as a normal human.

1. i don't think that will is going to die, i think that he will end up something like davy jones. where he ends up heart broken because the woman he loves leaves him.
2. i think that jack and elizabeth will end up together.
3. barbossa is alive. he died but there's something called 'world's end' and when he died that's where he went and then he traveled back and i think that the same will happen to jack. (it's just a move though)
4. they'll control the sea monster, the kraken which can destroy ships which mean they can steal the treasures on board.
5. bootstrap will either die or he will be set free from his curses.

1. that makes sense. . .but i would be totally sad if they killed him off!! he's really cute, and heroic ;)
2. i hope for will and elizabeth. its unlikely that jack and elizabeth would last anyway because Capt. jack is certainly not the marrying type, he's more of a player
3. i personally think that Tia Dalma knew that capt. jack was going to die so she brought Barbossa back to life to do that. which would make sense because she does have that kind of power.
4. thats what i think. it also means that you'd be able to control davy jones (who is, in fact, the sea) and that you'd be able to control the kraken. but i'm not sure about the whole "controlling waves and such" although it is a definate possiblity.
5. hmmmm thats a tough one. i think dear William will help his father escape from Davy jones and together they'll...do something. haha i haven't quite figured that out yet! what do you think is going to happen?

Parlay is a sort of deal where you can't be harmed and you are brought to the captain. I think it's very clearly described in the movie. Jack turns into a skeleton because he was part of the crew that got the curse. I didn't think it mattered where he was at the time. I also believe he had a piece of treasure himself. Oh yeah, he stole a piece from the chest! In the third movie, you find out that Tia Dalma brought Barbosa back to life to rescue Jack. See the third movie, it's the best. I followed it very well. Plus you'll find out more. I really hope I helped. Read below:

It means you can threaten Davy Jones to do what you want if you have his heart because you have the power to kill him. You can command him. Since he commands the sea and you command him.... It basically means you can make Davy Jones do whatever you want (to anyone) at sea.

OK. Will cant die or disappear or any thing cuz hes a cute guy and great actor. will and elizabeth. only waves and hurricanes but also the kracken. bootstrap will probably die cuz hes sorta worked too hard. barbossa must be ammune to it.
