It's really not necessary unless the rabbit has a messy butt, even then only the back end should be washed and you have to be especially sure that they are totally dry.
Rabbits are very good at cleaning themselves so there's simply no need to bath them on a regular basis. I have heard of rabbits dying after being bathed.

YES and no.
Rabbit do NOT NEED baths. They are self groomers like cats and will generally keep themselves clean.
The problem with giving a rabbit a bath, is that a rabbit will get sick if they get chilled. If you must absolutely bathe a rabbit, you MUST make sure he is THOROUGHLY DRIED and kept OUT OF drafts.
Rabbit (wet) shampoos are a money makers for people who have NO CLUE about rabbits.
There are products called dry shampoo that you apply to the animal without the need for water. You work this into a lather and then towel dry off, comb (style) as usual.
I have talked to too many people that call me after their once healthy bunny just died unsuspectedly, to find that they gave bunny a bath and caused him to get chilled, sick and then die.

I wouldn't give my rabbits a bath unless they really really needed it. Rabbits are like cats they clean themselves, so don't need to have a bath.

It isn't good for them unless they really need it because it can aggervate the skin of certian breeds. They can normally keept theirself clean but if you need to give them a bath use a shampoo made for rabbits or guinea pigs.

I wouldn't give my bunny a bath unless he really needed it. They usually do a great job of keeping themselves clean. If you do need to give him a bath, they sell special bunny shampoo at most pet stores.

Much like a cat, it's not necessary. Plus, they hate it.
