I know how a circle can spin forever, returning to places they would before. But I don't know how something would be forever as a "line".

An infinite line is hard to comprehend because our brains are not meant to really understand infinities. An infinite line has no end on either side. So if you can imagine a line that is 1000 Googolplex factorials parsecs long, you have imagined an infinitesimally small part of an infinite line. Definitions of Googolplex: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Googolplex Definition of parsec http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Parsec No matter how big you can imagine your line it is infinitesimally small compared to an infinite line. Imagine a skyscraper of infinite height. It has a fist floor but has no last floor. Therefore it cannot have a rooftop. If it had a rooftop then it would not be infinitely high. In mathematics, infinity indicates an impossibility of something physical. Physical things cannot be infinite. If god exists, he is not made of something material, otherwise he would be finite no matter ho big he is.

Your question has practical application to the question: Is the universe infinite? If not, is this Universe located in something infinite? How can infinity possibly physically exist?

It's like when you set a line out in space or something and then you stretch it it will keep going forever.

That is a loaded question and I imagine the answer varies greatly whether being answered by a male or a female! :D

Forever means - until the end of time and unless you're immortal, you'll never know what forever really means.

The line will keep on extending from both directions. Lines don't exist anywhere but in mathematics. Line segments exist..
Does that make sense?
Just like 2-D objects don't exist anywhere but in mathematics..
