I go to the Naval Academy... for Italian go to Maria's Downtown. Lots of good Mexican throughout the city as well, but if you're staying downtown, go to to Maria's for dinner. Right next to it is a good coffee/bookshop and lots of other nice places downtown. Good luck and have fun visiting! Come on over to the Yard and watch noon-meal formation or something too. Just be on time!

OK, my husband and I spend almost every weekend in Annapolis, and I definitely have a list. Well, a short list because these three places are SOOOO good!

For breakfasts, you must check out Chick n Ruth's Delly, which was established in 1965, and is THE breakfast place in town. The prices are very very reasonable. You must let them give you the delly fries that come with eggs and omelets. They're like the best hash browns anywhere. The hot chocolate is excellent. This is also a very good lunch place, although I usually get breakfast food for lunch. The milk shakes are huge and delicious! CHick n Ruth's is right on main street in Annapolis, walking distance from everything.

A block up main st is Joss, the best sushi I've had anywhere, and I've tried a lot of sushi. Their seaweed salad with tuna and wassbi dressing is excellent, as are all the sushi. They do not take reservations but the line moves quickly. SAVE ROOM for desert!!! The bananas tempura, drizzled with honey, raspberries and walnuts, served with a scoop of rich vanilla ice cream is a must.

FInally, you need to drive a little but you need to check out Jalapeno's, a spanish-mexican restaurant on Forest Avenue in a strip shopping center. THe Sangria is wonderful. That's the only drink we've tried, though, so I can't comment on other drinks. For appetizers, the portobello mushroom with a balsamic reduction, pine nuts and blue cheese, is my favorite. My husband's favorite is the mixed mushrooms, or the scallops with spinach and garlic. The main courses range from $10 chile rellenos which are one of our favorites, to rack of lamb (over $20) and some extraordinary specials. We have never been able to save room for desert.

These are my "musts". I would add one more, for lunch or dinner, across Spa creek bridge in Eastport. Davis's pub is a real sailor hangout and has excellent fish sandwiches. Very homey!

Place to avoid: Chart house, Ruth's CHris steak house. If you REALLY want good steak and don't mind paying a lot, try Lewnes' instead of Ruth's Chris.

Couldn't say for sure but I will pass on some good advice about restaurants and the quality of the food.
When you are in a strange town do not ask the locals for a good place to eat; all they will do is point you to their favourite hang out.
Instead go to the restaurants washrooms. If they are clean and respectable it's a good bet the rest of the establishment is. If the restrooms are dirty don't even bother with a cup of coffee.
I've travelled around for thirty years and I can tell you from experience that this is the best gauge for a restaurant that there is.
Hope you find a good restaurant in Annapolis.

To my marvel some style of mucus like substance suggested the sauce and poured onto my shrimp, all of us at my end of the table merely about lost it. I went from eating there very typically to lower than no circumstances. And it change into so strong till then. huge form 2 on my record might want to were the time I suggested someone pouring ketchup onto their burger and good alongside with the ketchup got here a foul searching soggy french fry that someone had for sure crammed contained in the bottle.
