I do like MLK. In fact I luv him because he fought back but not in a violent way. He killed his opponents with kindness. He used any means necessary to fight for the rights of his people without being violent. So yea he cool in my book.

No. He was a troublemaker and I am quoting President Harry Truman.
Furthermore, concerns about his doctoral dissertation at Boston University led to a formal inquiry by university officials, which concluded that approximately a third of it had been plagiarized from a paper written by an earlier graduate student, but it was decided not to revoke his degree, as the paper still "makes an intelligent contribution to scholarship." Such uncredited "textual appropriation," as King scholar Clayborne Carson has labeled it, was apparently a habit of King's begun earlier in his academic career.

I never met the man, and he's dead now, so there's little chance of my doing so. But what he did for the world, by helping to unify people instead of dividing - by sharing his Dream - and by joining other peaceful protestors (like Ghandi, etc.) in showing that it's possible to make effective change by peaceful means makes him one of the most wonderful men of the past century.
I do know that his follower and the man who cast himself as MLK's heir to the civil rights movement - Jesse Jackson - has done more to RUIN any chance of MLK's Dream than most other people.

I don't have so much respect for MLK the man (he cheated on his wife ALOT). But as far as his cause and his ideas, he was one of the greatest men of all time, and I like that aspect of Dr. King.
