Joe Montana by a long shot, there are and were some good ones but he was great.

It is rather clear, in terms of sustained excellence, clutch play and overall hardwear (4 rings) that Joe Montana is the clear-cut #1. He was the best while he did it, beat the competition (Elway, Marino) and was just about flawless in big games.

I'd give Elway the close 2nd. Most physically gifted QB ever, with the best arm. People forget, he took WEAK Denver teams to 3 Superbowls in the late 1980s.

Jimmy Clausen? LOL. Well, I hope he does better than his two brothers. Casey and Rick are very nice guys. I hope that Jimmy can turn the ND team around.

Greatest QB? there's a lot of them. Dan Marino has the records, but never won the SB. Joe Montana has all the rings. I really can't tell about those retired QBs since I rarely saw them play (unless they rerun an old NFL game). But as for in the present time, I would say Brett Favre, Peyton Manning, and Tom Brady.

That is a tough question, I can't just name one. I would say Joe Montana and Dan Marino, of those who are retired. They were class acts, both on and off the field. Present day, my pick is my man, Brett Favre! He is a wonderful player with a lot of heart and it shows every time he takes the field on a Sunday! Hope to see him play for another year!

Well If you think rings mean everything then Bradshaw and Montana, But if you talk about pure talent and arm strenght then Marino was the best by far, he had about double the amount of passing yards then Montana.

That's a tough pick between Johnny Unitas & Fran Tarkenton.
