The bible is not exactly an historical account, as all the accounts were written many years, sometimes 100 years after the fact. Also, the bible has been translated and reworded from it's orginal text many times, to fit the "government" in power at the time.

Everyone interprets the meaning of these accounts, stories, lore, parables to fit whatever they believe.

The bible as a meaningful book won't change, but I am sure it will be interpreted to fit the times as time moves on.

I think the Bible will have different versions in the future. As history has taught us, organized religion as we know it has changed several times. During translations from language to language a lot can be lost, so be careful how you read. Each religion will change rules and stories over time--this is inevitable. For example, in the Old Testament times (if you are inquiring about the Christian Bible), it was ok to stone your child to death if they spoke ill of the parent or if they didn't do what was asked of them. This example is exempt for today, because the people's ideas change for what is acceptable for the time. Leading further--these 'old rules' will "change" with the changes in people and what's acceptable for the time.

Interesting question in a way. As one person pointed out, the bible hasn't changed for nearly 2000 years. Hmm. I wonder why not. Has there ever been a 2000 year lull in creating new books for the bible before? Shouldn't there be a few new books coming out?

LoL - even if the Bible were a historical account it's still succeptable to interpretation, and as such will likely change and evolve. The last great overhaul of the scriptures was the King James revision.

The Bible is a historical account. You cannot change history.

Buy-Bull will still be the same stupid fairy-tale a hundred years from now. Hopefully less people will be swallowing it.
