if you are pregnant and are still having your period will a pregnancy test still come out positive?

oh goodness...tonight at dinner i felt sooo nauseated (sp) i thought i was going to puke :( is it like this all pregnancy?? if i am in fact pregnant at all...

While its possible to have spotting, I dont think you should have a full out period if you are pregnant. Have you seen a doctor? That should be the first thing on your list!

are you sure it is your period? With my first pregnancy i thought i was having a period and not pregnant but had the systoms of being pregnant ... i took the home tests and they came back negitive so i went to the hospital when the bleeding didnt stop after 5 days. I was pregnant AND i had plencta previa ( spelling? ) If you are pregnant and bleeding as if you are having a period my advice is that you go see your doctor or go the the hospital just to make sure and be on the safe side!

Are you talking about a home administered pregnancy test? Maybe it would read positive...maybe not. With my first child I still had my period for several months, just very light...didn't know I was pregnant 'til I was about 3 months because of it (argh). When I did get suspicious, I took a home test & it was negative; took another, it said positive. SO, my recommendation is that you go see a doctor! Good luck!

I am going through the same thing... I went to the doctor today and they ordered a blood test for Monday. I would suggest you do the same. BTW, I took home pregnancy tests that came up negative, and even the doctors pregancy test came up negative, so we are doing blood work.

This just happend to me, Go see your doctor, he would probably order a blood test to determine if you are actually pregnant. i think the test would come out positive, as long as you do not take the test while you are on your period.
