I have a seven year old rabbit that lives outdoors (well, in a barn). Outdoor rabbits do not necessarily have shorter lifespans than indoor rabbits.
Just because a rabbit is outdoors does not mean it has bad life and just because a rabbit is indoors does not mean it has a good life. I know that's a little off base from the question, but I hate when answers imply that house rabbits are somehow better off.
Back to the question, it depends upon the breed and the care given to the animal. In general, 4-6 years. Sometimes they live longer, sometimes shorter. Some animals might be more genetically prone to cancer than others.
Buy from a responsible breeder that knows their animals and their lineage.

I have a friend who's rabbit lived to 15 years. A lot depends on the care, diet and living conditions. If they receive a good diet, prompt medical attention and have clean, protected housing they'll live a lot longer than a rabbit that's forgotten in it's hutch down the back yard. Also by paying attention to your rabbit and know what's normal for them you'll avert a lot of problems before they turn into a life threatening situation.

Usually 5-6 years.
Can be a few more if they are indoor, a few less if they are outdoor.
