i have replaced mother board and then the cpu as well as the powersupple thinking it was one of them Even tried just plugging in one but that does not help either, no ram count or attempt to boot

it might not be pluged in right some of the pins might have bend a little try with a small flathead to straight out the pins.

have you checked the connections from the cd/hardrive? maybe they are loose or borken or just no good.
does one work when the other is not plugged in? and vice versa?
if not maybe you need to try other ones.
If that doesn't work...get a new computer or a better one.

wel i think the problem is in your cd+ hard drive, try co plugged other cd drive to test or may the way on how to plugged the drive is wrong..
