Yeah. Ripped a little at the knees is a good look. But don't go overboard -- make a little rip and then let it expand on it's own. Also looks good if you take something like a piece or sandpaper, a nail file, or a cheese grater (the one with the small holes) and rub it on the bottom of the cuffs (literally, the part where the seam folds over, so the bottom edge of the jeans is a little rugged rather than perfectly smooth), the fold of the pockets, and maybe somewhere on the front or back of the legs. Just gives a little casual, worn look. Again, just don't overdo it. If you start a little rip, it gets bigger on its own, and that natural rip looks better than just cutting into them yourself.
But don't wear your ripped ones to anywhere "fancy." Girls like the ripped look but in the right place. : )

I personally love them and think they look good on basically any guy.
I had my guy pick up a pair of Levi's ripped jeans from Kohls. I think they were only around 30. They have a great color to them, and the pockets pattern shows through a few of the higher prerips (its only a white and blue stripe).
It kind of depends on you and if you're going to be comfortable in them really.

I think it looks nice...to a certain extent. The best places to have them ripped would probably be close to the knees and butt.

A couple frays/rips are ok. Not too many or they will look ugly and unattractive.

No, just tells me they cant afford a pair. I like my guy in a nice ironed jean and ironed open button up shirt with a muscle shirt under. But that's just me.
