Yes this is coming from a guy asking this question, but I'm really curious as to why sometimes sex just doesn't sound good at the time my girlfriend wants it. I know it's not because I'm not attracted to her or that I don't love her, It's just every now and then I'm not in the mood at all. Not even to be touched at that! I've been kind of depressed lately. Could that play a factor in this whole ordeal? Just some feedback would be nice. And please no ignorant remarks saying I'm gay or whatnot, because I know that's NOT what this is all about. Thanks!

wouldnt worry about it if i were you.
ur human.
sometimes even sex can be a turnoff.
trust me.

it could be a number of things.
you're going through a phase,
you're stressed out at work
you've got horrid blood circulation
yikes, maybe you're impotent.
[doubt it]
whatever it is, it will ease out, and leave you behind with a nice sized erec tion and a horrid craving to be satisfied, sooner or later.

what have you been depressed about?think about it clearly..because...hmm how do i explain this...------>>>>>

seee, men are sexual animals [no offense boys, but i think it;s a compliment!]
when they dont want to have sex, it means one of the few things
1.theyve had a really bad experience in a relationship.and are dead depressed about it.cant get over it
2.they're dead tired, and all they can think of is a good nights sleep and lots of snoring.
3.They arent in any way attracted to the woman they're with.
4.they need something fun and exciting, something new, something naughty, to perk them up, because normal sex has become boring and doesnt do it for them anymore..
the list is endless buddy.

i'm no genius, but i'll be honest when i say this
for a woman, its weird that i ALWAYS want to do it...ahem...yes, blunt, i know, but sometimes, you need to know a few things, to be in a certain position, to be carefree, to not regret...its needs to be the right time, right place, and right person.

every factor plays a role, you need to take a close look at whats going on in your life, whats changed recently...and you'll find your answer to your own question.
p/s loved that bean guys answer... grease up ur pipe? god damn hillarious!
good luck stranger!

It's not an odd question. My boyfriend and I both feel that way sometimes. It doesn't mean you don't love the person. If she is the kind of person where every physically intimate situation (i.e. hugging, kissing, cuddling) ALWAYS leads to sex then after awhile you are probably going to get sick of that.

As for the depression part, why are you depressed?? (More info please). It could have something to do with it. Sometimes feelings of guilt, stress about money, family, etc can lead for you to feel that way. Shutting others out isn't the answer, but again , if her only reaction is to want to sleep with you or if she is ALWAYS the instigator then perhaps you may want to look elsewhere for compansionship and take a break from this relationship.

Seriously, yes, depression can make you not want to be touched- want to be away from everyone, just kind of lay around and do nothing. You probably need to take something for the depression, however, some of the meds they give you for depression will kill your sex drive altogether. Ask a doc about wellbutrin because they say that's the one with the least amount of sexual side effects. Hope you feel better soon. Just let your girlfriend know what's going on so she doesn't think you're cheating on her or doesn't think you don't want her.

Certainly, depression can play a big factor in all areas of your personal life. You should seek help for your depression and try to understand what it is that is making you depressed. Is it the time of year, your job, stress, etc. Once you get a handle on it, you will be yourself in no time. You are very normal.

It's normal. The depression may not be though. What do you think is causing the depression? Are you taking medicine for it? If so how long? I would reccomend prayer and getting daily exercise. Get out of the house and do things as often as you can too. Good luck!

Ok this is what you need to do,when she wants to,get offended and leave the room,be pissed at her for the moment and go off in another room, maybe the bathroom and pull out some high quality porno and grease up your pole......then,go back to where she is....dont drop you goo yet....and nail her hardcore, and while she's orgasming call her a dirty filthy whore and a slut and tell her shes a tramp who cant get enough and if she gets offended by it....next time....do it the same way except ram it straight up her pooper.Hey,dont knock it till you try it,it works,it helped my relationship.

There's nothing wrong with not finding sex appealing 24/7.
