i think most girls shave somewhat "down there." most girls do a variety of trimming and grooming. some shave/wax all of it off, others, just clean up the edges. some girls leave "landing strips" or triangles. some girls even shave sahpes down there, like lightning bolts or hearts. but there are also many women who don't shave anything. they go "au naturale." basically, every girl's "hair style" is unique. do what you're comfortable with. try experimenting with differents 'dos. after all, it's gonna grow back! as for guys, same deal. every guy is different. but overall, many guys do shave/trim down there. some guys shave their balls too.

Personally, [and I beleive most would agree] I think that every woman should at least trim and take care of the bikini line!
As for men, I think just a trim is sufficient.... kinda goes along the lines of how woman should shave their legs, guys shouldnt... Just seems kinda feminine if a guy shaves there.... As for stats, I would say from my knowledge that the majority of woman either shave or trim...
And I agree with that woman in an above comment... Shaving everything kinda makes u look like u havent hit puberty....

I know I always keep mine shaven or clean cut. It's not to be more attracting down there, but I just think its gross to let that area become untamed.
I think your boyfriend would be right to atleast ask you to trim.
However, I think he is wrong in saying that most women do. I highly doubt women over 30 are running around with razors in their hands, just in case. Come on now.
Your body, your percentage. Tell him to shave everyday for a week and see how well that goes over.
The boy will be so overcome by razor burn is eyes will well up.

To me it seems once a girl becomes sexually active, then she'll probably start shaving. I know when I was single I kept my hair...I thought shaving it was weird. Now I don't.
As for guys...they can shave, but being completely shaven looks a little odd for them. A nice trim is all that's needed. 1/4-1/2" length of hair. The hair is not itchy either...I barely even notice it on my husband.

Are you serious?
Even heard the phrase "shaven like a raven?"
Most girls and guys trim, but don't shave bare. Girls, trim it down to like 1/4 inch long, but if you shave all the way, it itches for the first day or two. Guys, shave it down to like 1/2 inch long, unless your chick wants more.

No not all women do it.
I do not do it all the time. But I dont let it grow out completely.
My husband will sometimes shave because I do.
But, if you are comfortable enough with yourself (whatever he thinks or not) you should grow it out or shave it. Whatever makes you feel better, not what makes him feel better.
Plus, if a man loves you enough, shaving shouldnt matter.
Heck, I dont always shave my legs. My husband and I are that comfortable with each other that none of that matters. I just want to be comfortable sometimes and not have to worry about my looks.

the "trimmed" look has been popular since the late 90's....before that, bearded was the norm...in addition, a lot of women maintain the northern pubic region while completely shaving the southern region, kinda like having just a moustache (like prince as opposed to, say, borat)

I'd say most ARE shaved down there. Since I've been to many nudist areas and pretty much all of them are.

Most females I know trim, but don't clean shave. Most males I know also trim and don't find a barren field on a female appealing.
