Since early adolescence, I have had dreams that are like short film clips (like previews at the movies) and then I recall dreaming this while it is happening in real life. I have even dreamt of talking to people who I have yet to meet until weeks later. I never recall the dream until the "scene" is unfolding in "real life". My daughter now has begun to have these dreams also. Has anyone else had this experience?

My daughter is in her teens now but has been having these "precognitive" dreams since about 8 or so. She, my mother, and I also all see "shadow people" out of the corners of our eyes at times. I also have a feeling some nights like a cat is kneeding the blankets at the foot of the bed or pacing back and forth. Others have also experienced this while sharing the bed with me. This is all Normal for me and it does not scare me any longer but did bother me a lot when I was younger (44 now).

~Yes, I have experienced it. You feel like you've done the exact thing before, then all of a sudden remember it was in a dream. My dreams scare me sometimes. I think everyone has this ability, but don't pay any attention to it.~

It happens sometimes but the actual event happens 6 months to a year after the dream took place

yes!
i get these all the time..
[& all the dreams i remember seem to be like short film clips.]
& then later on ill remember it while its happening.
déjà rêvé...

...some experts thing its because of malnutrition or exhaustion -& your mind takes something that has just hapened and it stores it as a memory...
but i dont think theres an actual way they could prove it.

i looked this up when it kept reoccuring to me, i ended up keeping a journal of everything i did & my dreams as well,.

not that it matters but, how old is your daughter?

Yes, while you are young your brain is more active so while you go to sleep your brain runs through scenarios of what can happen. So don't be alarm with your daughter. I myself have and still is going through this. I don't want to be rude but does your daughter have ADD. That is the reason why it happens to me.
