All travelers should visit either their personal physician or a travel health clinic 4-8 weeks before departure.

Malaria: Prophylaxis with Lariam, Malarone, or doxycycline is recommended for travel to low-altitude areas of the Mpumalanga Province (including Kruger Natonal Park), Northern Province, and northeastern KwaZulu-Natal as far south as the Tugela River.
Vaccinations: Hepatitis A
Recommended for all travelers

i live in ct,and i can assure you that you will love it here. just check your health before you come,there's no malaria or anything else lifethreatening here at all., make sure that you have a sunscreen with a factor of 40 or more and slap it on. other than that,ct is you average city:)

oh,dont walk around with your camera out in the open,that makes you look like a tourist and you will get targeted!
