I would write about something personal and embarrassing, but also universal. That would make it specific, poignant, and funny because others would laugh in recognition.

i'd write about what i feel at the moment may it be about love or my opinion about what has been happening around me or i can write about something that interests me and would want to share it to others. i believe that a well written poem comes from the emotions that the poet feels and how the emotions were described to make the readers or listeners feel(or even see and taste through words), understand and learn from him.

My life. You have so much to be expressed.. And only you know what you have to do. Tell about past experiencs.. about what is going on now. They will be impressed.. Dont write about stuff that you dont know anything about. Just be yourself.

I'd write about love, death, philosophy, friends, marriage, heartbreak, or pain because they are universally understood by people.

i would write of simple beauty. something so simple, yet so complex, a thing of beauty. things don't have to be amazing, dramatic to be beautiful. simplicity is much more beautiful, because it seems to escape peoples notice, and when we notice it, it seems even more lovely.
