Don't listen to the above, they simply don't know what they are talking about. 1/3 of the adult world smoke it, and the distribution of it is Illegal NOT Personal amounts, so listen.
it depends what you mean by "bad for me" ... sure the smoke is not the healthiest for your lungs but on average its very minimal , as long as you don't hold it in and are using a "water bong" , The effects on the brain are also very minuscule eg, fuzzy short term memory , and memory loss are the most common, but tend to go away after you stop smoking. it has not been linked to any illness and causes no disease. It is expensive and can lower your ambition, but that varies from person to person some ppl are just naturally lazy and just so happen to smoke pot. so Yes and No... if its a once in awhile thing (1-3 times wk. Max) you shouldn't have a problem with it at all.

Yes it is effecting your lungs. Some studies have show that it is not a cause of lung cancer. However every other problems with smoking tobacco is there. Smoking with a water bong can help. Smoking less often would be better. Not smoking at all would be the best solution. I think your lungs need a longer break then a few days. Try stopping for a a few months. All in all weed is not that bad for you. It is not healthy either.

My friend smokes daly he had a xray of his lungs the doctor told him he has the lungs of a 50 year old. He is 22.

Not significantly. The biggest study of the health effects was done by Kaiser Permanente. They surveyed the long-term health records of 65,000 patients. They found no difference between the health records of those who smoked pot versus those who didn't.

That finding is consistent with every major government commission that has studied the subject in the last 100 years.

You can find the full text of all those reports at http://druglibrary.org/schaffer These are the definitive works on the subject.

Do not accept answers from anyone who has not read this research. Most people really don't have a clue.

Yes in a sense. Marijuana has much, much more tar in it than tobacco / cigarettes. Not smoking it at all is better for you, but three times a week.... You're not going to die anytime soon, but it is damaging your lungs.

I'm a nurse. This drug has long term effects. You should stop before it really damages your body. You might not be able to feel the effects of it, but you will as time goes by. It sounds like you take good care of yourself so far, go all the way you are worth it.

Honestly, smoking anything at all isn't good for your health. Even if it isn't hurting you now it could end up bothering you in the future. You could end up with a heart attack or lung disease.

Any time you smoke that stuff is bad. You lose brain cells you can never get back. It may not affect your ambition but your dumb for doing it.

I think it kills valuable brain cells. You might not notice it until later on, but I think it affects your memory. It's already affected your intelligence if you keep smoking it.

Think about it . . . . . with whatever brain cells you have left.

You must be joking. Illegal drugs are illegal for a reason. What you are doing is WRONG and illegal. So, yes it's bad. You cannot justify using it. You are a druggie. Congratulations.

Smoking anything is also bad for your lungs. Just as damaging as cigarettes.
