One of the computer's keyboard in my class somehow turned off. It is plugged into the correct port on the back of the computer but typing doesn't work. Is there a way to enable it through windows or something? It is a Dell computer with a dell keyboard the connects with PS/2 connection. What should I do

Turn the computer off, then disconect the keyboard from the back of the computer, then turn the computer back on.Wait a few seconds then turn it back off. Now reconnect the keyboard and turn your computer back on. It should detect the key board.

Have you tried rebooting the system? Have you tried this keyboard on a different pc. If it doesn't work on a different pc then replace it. If it does then the keyboard controller on the pc motherboard my have gone out. I would then recommend using a USB keyboard if you don't want to replace the board. Good Luck

After you plugged it in, it should automatically recognize the keyboard. If it doesn't, try restarting the computer. If that doesn't work, then it's a hardware problem, meaning something is broken.

PS2 connections can go bad. You might have to spend $15 on a USB keyboard.
